Ok so not really, but I did meet an older lady named Gretchen at Church this morning and she reminded me of myself. It was fun. She was an author (which was cool because one of my life goals is to write a book) and she was an artist (I consider myself to be an artist as far as photography is concerned…though I don’t claim to be any good at it)… on top of that, she was SO passionate about the Lord and about seeing every day things through spiritual eyes. She was talking to Carl and I after the service and she was saying, “Carl, I see you as this strong Sequoia with the strength of God upon you…and you just get up on stage and you let yourself go so that He will speak through you. And Gretchen, I see you as this precious little dove”. That’s pretty much all she said to me, but she said it over and over again, so I’m wishing she had a little more explanation of why she saw me as a dove. It was good. Carl made me laugh, he said when she told us that he was a sequoia and I was a dove…he pictured this little dove nuzzling into the branches of a humungous Sequoia. “Come nuzzle under my branches little dove!” he says. Funny kid. Funny kid.
